The Ocean Conservation Society research vessel, “ANNIE JO” is a thirty-seven foot Nordic Tugs powerboat optimized for coastal and offshore navigation. She is equipped with a full compliment of electronics, scientific and communication equipment allowing us to download satellite data on weather trends and oceanographic conditions, utilize e-mail while underway, record bio-acoustic sounds, and collect detailed data on marine mammals and their habitat.
"ANNIE JO" is a gift from Roland and Janet McKneely of Shreveport, Louisiana.
We appreciate their generosity and support.
